When you conceptualize new ideas for your business, you probably present them to friends, family and trusted advisors to get their take. Some of those people may tell you that it will never work; that the idea is flawed, or other companies are already doing it. While it’s always good to listen to criticism, don’t let it stop you from moving forward.
Keep something in mind: This is your business. You’re the one who started it. You’re the one taking all the risks. You’re the one who’s responsible for it’s success or failure. Not them. They haven’t stayed up at night worried about payroll. They didn’t forgo a paycheck when things got tight. They didn’t give up their nights and weekends to ensure its success.
Don’t let the nay-sayers dictate your direction. You know what’s best for your company; that’s why it’s YOUR company. If you feel strongly about an opportunity, go make it happen.
